| InfoCity is a computerised information
project which supplies news in Italian in real time and articles on everything that
happens world-wide. It is an interactive press agency which acquires, processes and
organises the vast amount of information which travels on the network and produces
bulletins on current affairs and background articles, drawing on the services of a large
number of journalists. Infocity offers also
many original
news services as "News on demand", "News in mailbox",
assistance for client who wants to "build" Web pages with information contents
and publishing services for newspaper and magazines.
The development of computer networks has allowed information
to circulate extremely quickly, but at the same time it has posed problems of time in
locating items of news because of the huge size of the networks themselves. InfoCity sets
out to provide journalists, publishers, press offices and communications sector workers
with quick, easy access to the news, as well as offering an interactive meeting place for
everyone interested in the world of information.
Everything found on the city's pages is the property of
InfoCity and is therefore subject to copyright regulations. The access to the main areas
of InfoCity is completely free of charge and unrestricted.

InfoCity is organised to allow visitors to
consult all the services available inside the city with ease, and permit rapid access to
the sector of interest. The following is a list of the various areas with a short
description of each.

News services are the heart of InfoCity . The user can find any kind of news, conveniently
subdivided by topic (economics,
culture, performing arts, science and multimedia). All the
material on InfoCity has been acquired through computer networks and checked, where
possible, at source, or has been produced by a network of journalists tele-working on this
initiative under the supervision of our editors.
Events (Eventi)
The place where information about the most important events in the world of information
can be obtained by consulting the diary area that contains the list of the main events of
public interest (congresses, meetings, performances, exhibitions, demonstrations, studies
and research) organised during the month.
